The boat is pretty huge! After the whole crew was on board we departet for a 25min boat ride to the snorkeling spot! Some nice music and everything. Me as a snorkeler got fitted out with some fins and even got offered a hot cup of Joe!Īfter about 20min there everything got packed up and we all headed for the ocean to get on the boat! Some were instructing Scuba Divers, who hadn't done before others were briefing the certified divers to show them the ways in Costa Rica. Seemed like each one had a different task. Made some first aquaintances on the bus! After being dropped of at the HQ of Pacific Coast Dive, there were a lot of different dive instructors every. The day started of very early in the morning as we got picked up around 6:30am - 7:00am to actually drive from Tamarindo to the HQ! If I’m back in the area I would definitely dive with this company again, professional, friendly, and great group of guides! Thanks again Santi and thanks for the photos!! I was definitely really hungry by the end of the tour since it runs until after 1pm and then you still shuttle back to where you’re staying, so most days I was back in Tamarindo around 2pm or later. The fruit was on point, fresh and delicious. I would only say the snack between dives could have another option besides cookies-it gave me heartburn underwater. These guides are passionate about what they do! My friend took an adventure dive one day with Riski and loved it! We weren’t in the same group but we were together on the boat, which was perfect. He never left my side, and we practiced each skill module underwater after getting a lesson on the boat while heading to our dive spot. Santi explained the deep dive to me multiple times and was very supportive underwater where it meant the most. There is some wind & current in this area, so if you get sea sick very easily, it might not be the best spot to dive. Unfortunately no manta rays or whale sharks but it’s really hit or miss with those types of sightings. I took a blended online learning course so I read book material in the evening and got to business, so not really classroom time! We saw a lot of fish, sharks, rays, and eels. We went to different spots within the area based on conditions, Whoo different spots exist here, and they’re all really fun! Santi and I worked one-on-one because I was the only one getting my advanced cert. However, you’ll meet a lot of people and the top deck has amazing views of the dive sites. They have a routine and are professional with their guests! If you want a small dive boat experience, this isn’t it. I spent 3 days on the boat with these folks, and watched them work with many different clients everyday. I did quite a bit of research before deciding to dive off Playa Flamingo in Las Catalinas for my advanced diving certification.
